Veterinary Surgeon

We are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our team in Walton-on-Thames in Surrey. At this branch there is one full time vet and a locum vet. We are looking for another vet to join us on a permanent basis. We are a well-equipped small veterinary practice with a friendly team. You must be competent with at least two years experience in the field and also must be capable of working in a team and alone, on occasion. The practice is within walking distance of the main train station and Walton on Thames town centre.

Qualified Veterinary Nurse

We are actively seeking a qualified Veterinary nurse to join our team.

The role involves:

  • Being Head nurse at our Walton Road branch in our Molesey branch managing the nurses
  • Being Joint Head nurse at Ashley in Walton-on-Thames assisting with training and management of the nursing staff
  • Providing support to the Vets by managing the care of animals receiving medical and surgical treatment.
  • Training to become Joint clinical coach and assisting with the training of Junior members of staff

This is a full time, permanent position working a 40-hour week with hours on a rota basis between 08:30-19:00 working in shifts. There is also a Saturday rota 08:30-5:30PM (You will be required to work one in three Saturdays).

Essential

  • Fully qualified RCVN Veterinary Nurse
  • Must live within a reasonable distance and have your own transport and must be willing to travel to each branch as and when required
  • Must be able to handle animals with confidence and patience
  • Must be proactive, have good communication and organisation skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Confident and Competent
  • Trustworthy with a conscientious approach to work
  • At least two years working within a small animal veterinary practice since qualifying

Desirable

  • Three to Four years experience working as a VN since qualifying in a small animal veterinary practice
  • Clinical Coach
  • GCSE math’s Grade C or above
  • GCSE English Grade C or above
  • Competent in Excel, Word and Outlook
Animal Nurse

We are actively seeking a animal Veterinary nurse to join our team.

The role involves:

  • Providing support to the Vets by managing the care of animals receiving medical and surgical treatment.
